Vojin Nedeljkovic

In the ruins of a basilica near the village of Veliki Krcimir (southern Serbia) fragments of an inscribed Roman brick have been found, containing a piece of early Christian correspondence. Owing to the presence of scriptural quotations, the lost part of the document is largely recoverable. The letter was apparently written by a clergyman to another; the sender reclaims what seems to be a sum of money destined to the ongoing construction of the basilica.
